Alright, rant time on Glee.
First off, just because the scene is in a jail cell and is supposed to be sexy does not mean that that’s all there is to the song. Moaning and attempting to sound sexy does not do this song justice. Shit, the only innocent girl is supposed to sound innocent. Not like she’s moaning in bed. Jeez. There are characters to each girl. Try to put some effort in sounding like you’re pissed off rather than trying to moan through the song.
Second, the whole point of the Pop. Six. Squish. Cicero. Uh-uh. Lipschitz is to tell all the goddamn stories. Shoot, the most important is Cicero and you just cut it off right before it. What’s the point? There isn’t one.
Also, at the end, it is not supposed to sound all happy and melodic. These ladies are angry, not trying to harmonizing. You’re supposed to distinctly hear Velma Kelly over all of them. But wait, you just cut her part out.
Has anyone even seen Chicago? goddamn.
